If you are familiar with Makoto Shinkai's work ie Voices of the
Distant Star and The Place Promised in our Early Days, most
probably you have already watched this anime a few times.

This thread serves to promote this little masterpiece to those
of you who have never heard of the name above or have not realised
that this anime came out early last year in March.

Or even for those of you who are still waiting for someone and
wondering when and if you should move on...

Sypnosis:

"The title 5 Centimeters Per Second comes from the
speed at which cherry blossoms petals fall,
petals being a metaphorical representation of humans, reminiscent
of the slowness of life and how people often start together but
slowly drift into their separate ways.."

The theme songs are very touching and fit the anime
greatly...and if you have decided to watch it, pay attention to the
ending part. The music video they put together is one of the most
meaningful, breath-taking video that I have ever seen.

And it won't take you much time...this gem only lasts for 1 hour
and consists of 3 short episodes which followed the main
character's life from childhood to teenage years to adulthood.

Some trailers below:

Trailer in Japanese -with English Subs

The art work is great, the story is brilliant...what more can I
say? Watch it! <img src=
