5 shops just closed and walked out, even though they might have to forfeit a 3-month security deposit… an exit package orginally called for a 5-month forfeiture fee (security + 2-mth rent), but a shop’s monthly rent can be as high as $11k in one example cited….. they would rather fight it in court i think….

I wonder if business at XChange might’ve been better if people didn’t have to pass through the gates to get to the shops. There’s so much space along the route between the 2 lines that’s taken up by just artwork and advertisements.

Enter using entrance in between macdonalds house and Park Mall there directly go down then it is already, if not use the more people use entrance/exit go down then after that either directly in front or left of it is the xchange already, quite small though.

ppl only pass by there ... so small nothing much to see also ..

maybe they can have escalator that can go direct up to dhoby xchange .. rather twist and turn here and there .. and also bigger signboard to tell pppl where is Dhoby Xchange ... the current sign not clear ..

After Raffles Xchange and Dhoby Xchange, Tanjong Xchange is coming up as well. Shops have already been created at the concourse level (interiors being fitted out with electrical and airconditioning ducts), while at the level between the concourse and the street level heavy construction still going on (walls being torn down and rebuilt).

The ceiling panels at the concourse level have partially been changed to the newer more modern looking panels.
