Was in the MRT by the door.... A station of open platform.... Then same old thing... The beeping sound went off.....
There was this maid who was pushing this baby on wheels... Hesitating at 1st.... For a few seconds in front of the beeping door... Then tried to RUSH IN..... The door ALMOST CLOSED on the baby... Could have just PULLED IT ALONG the OPEN TRACK on HIGH BRIDGE....
I REACTED by PULLING the DOOR APART. There was another lady who was at the other side of the door DOING THE SAME.... The MAID then had the CHANCE to pull the baby back to SAFETY.....
SERIOUSLY... I DON'T UNDERSTAND what's it with people trying to SAVE TIME and yet RISKING their lives (worse, risking others eg. very innocent life?)... I COULDN'T IMAGINE if she had HIT the HEADLINES the NEXT DAY.....
TRAGEDY RIGHT BEFORE MY EYES.....

just nice i m planning this experiment on the mrt doors
whether will open if kiap something, on both types of mrt.
whether kiap liao the train will move or not
wat kind of intelligent technology are they using
one to test on NEL
from outside coming in, and inside going out
one on the NS line.... one underground, one above ground
repeat same thing
objects used to test will be an umbrella and my right arm
if u happen to see someone trying to do the above, pls do not be alarmed.
and pls dun stomp oso ok
me low profile one

haha is it new?
cuz just last year, i saw this old man keena kiap by the door, then i pulled him in, and muttered that he shouldn't have rushed in at the last minute, and he yelled at me to mind my own business.

They need to keep up with their 7 minute frequency.Or not brainless idiots will start to complain A, B and C.
So who is the actual cause of train delays?
Singaporeans just can't think.
PS: No point trying to shoot me back, I won't enter this thread anymore. This has been the 17857589593030th time something like this was posted, my stand is that Singaporeans are too kanchiong.
Anti SMRT brainless idiots will say "who ask them make frequency so long".
My reponse will be: "Who as you come out so late and have to kanchiong.
Cause effect theory. Simple as that.
Bye for this thread.

On the SMRT trains, the trains are operated by train drivers whose duties are to open and close train doors. If the train doors had obstuctions such as ur arm or umbrella, it will not give a "CLEAR" signal and the train cannot move. Same thing for NEL trains, although fully automated without drivers, if it sense obstructions on the train doors, the train will also not move. So its quite safe and will not be a "Final Destination" kinda thing happen.

tts why i want to do the experimentCorrect, its means the safety mechanism is working properly. When the train door bounce back, it is actually trying to clear obstructions.
Well, why so many pple tio kiap is because on SMRT trains, the train driver through the monitors in his driver cabin sees the whole platform. When he sees it the platform is clear, he will close doors. In NEL, it is all computerised from the trains to the lights and aircon... something like Resident Evil except there is no Red Queen and the system can't see the platform. Once time's up, close doors.

how come leh?Hmmm, by right it will bounce back. If it is like an arm or umbrella, it will bounce back. All 24 doors will need to be fully close and locked so a signal will be sent and the train will be cleared to move. Otherwise, the train is still locked in the station.
